One of the best for doing this is the variety ';Prestige';. The ';Freedom'; variety that is sold at chain stores are lucky to hold their color for the present Christmas season. Just water it when the soil dries out and periodically give it a shot of fertilizer and it should last or re-bloom for you several times. Simply keep the plant in a room where it won鈥檛 get any light and take it out for about five hours each day. After about a month of this, keep the poinsettia in a well lit room and it will bloom again.
