What's the pink flower on a tall stem blooming in Indiana yards in August?

They usually bloom in clusters and seem to have no leaves.What's the pink flower on a tall stem blooming in Indiana yards in August?
They're called surprise lillies b'c they just pop up out of nowhere. and they're always in patches if you noticed.





I've also heard them called ';naked ladies';...LOL b'c it's just a long stem, and nothing but a flower at top.What's the pink flower on a tall stem blooming in Indiana yards in August?
