We have a shrub that's buds look like berries and blooms a deep pink color. Does anyone know what it is?

The blooms are a deep pink color with white around the edges. It started blooming about 2 months ago and is still going strong. The shrub is only about 2 foot high and there is an abundance of blooms and the buds really look like deep red almost maroon berries that bloom into the flowers. And ideas on what it could be will greatly help.We have a shrub that's buds look like berries and blooms a deep pink color. Does anyone know what it is?
